Ladies and Gents: The 6th Annual YPNG Lake Trip is finally here!! This year is slated to be the largest and most grand adventure of them all! Prepare yourself for an experience to remember, filled with great friends and epic times!
WHERE ARE WE CAMPING? WHERE THE HECK IS SAN ANTONIO LAKE?
San Antonio Lake is located just a short drive west of Paso Robles and can be easily Googled. We will be camping in the secluded group area, known as Lower Harris Creek, which is accessible from the south entrance of the lake. Don't worry ladies, restroom facilities and showers are available.
GRUBBING TIME
The ticket price includes dinner on Friday and Saturday night thanks to BBQ Master Rob Frew’s mad skills on the grill. We will be cooking up some great carnivore dishes, but will also have some vegetarian options in the mix. Lunch on Saturday will also be provided at the campground. ALL OTHER FOOD OR SPECIAL NEEDS ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
WETTING YOUR WHISTLE
We will provide a decent base in an assortment of cheap to mid-grade nonalcoholic refreshments for your favorite mixer. Water will also be provided. It is a good idea to bring your own additional favorite poison of choice if you are into tasting and enjoying what you drink. All types and flavors are accepted. Please remember to share with the rest of the group.
I'M NOT REALLY MUCH OF A CAMPER
ALL CAMPING EQUIPMENT AND ACCESSORIES ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. If you don't own any, rental tents and other camping equipment is available through Poly Escapes and Mountain Air Sports. The staff are very helpful and the rental prices are reasonable.
SHOULD I BRING MY TOYS?
Yes, please bringing water floaties, tubes, footballs, smashball, washoos, guitars, iPod players, boomboxes, bocce ball sets, cornhole, frisbees, and anything else you can think of that would be fun to play with!
WILL THERE BE BOATING?
Unfortunately this year we are not able to provide boats for our lake adventure. However, there will still be some swimming fun on the lake! Oh, and don't forget your fishing pole.
LONG STORY SHORT….This trip is going to be epic! Please thank your event planner, Mark Ballentine, for his help and dedication in putting this event together for all of you.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Rob at outdoors@ypng.org! Until then!
