That's right YPNG, it's time to start gearing up for our annual Winter Weekend Escape Trip! In the grandest and greatest of traditions, we will once again ascend to the beautiful Shaver Lake area where we will spend two fun-filled nights in two luxurious neighboring cabins. In a YPNG tour-de-force, we will take on the most mind-blowing destination spot ever imagined....the new and improved China Peak Resort!
Tickets include Friday and Saturday night accommodations and Saturday night's Family Dinner
Some highlights of the event:
• We will be raffling off (4) SLO Xtreme Beer Festival tickets
• Free Ski and Snowboard lessons
• Fun and games Friday and Saturday night
• The chance to make some great friends
Whether you are an avid skier/snowboarder or just the type of person who likes to relax indoors by a roaring fire, enjoying a cup of joe, this trip is not to be missed! Don't hesitate, jump aboard this metaphorical snowmobile of fun, partake in the biggest high altitude block party ever conceived, the best snow, and of course, the opportunity to meet amazing new friends and take home some long lasting memories. Tickets include accommodations and Saturday night's Family Dinner. Group discount lift tickets will also be available.
Even if you have never participated in an YPNG event before, this will be a great trip that you will not soon forget. So gather your friends and let’s hit the slopes!!

EQUIPMENT RENTALS
Equipment rentals are available at Mountain Air Sports on Marsh St. for
reasonable weekend prices. I would suggest reserving anything you may
need now. Rentals are also available at Sierra Summit but are more
expensive and will have to be coordinated individually.
SKI & SNOWBOARD LESSONS
For
anyone that is new to skiing or snowboarding and is looking to have a Saturday
morning lesson, we have a former instructor on the trip that has graciously offered
up his time. I did not want to say anything, but he is kinda a big deal! If
you would like a ski lesson, contact Dan Phares at dphares@hotmail.com.
FOOD
/ DRINK
This
year we are stepping it up in the food department. Prepare yourself for a
delicious and significant Lasagna Family Style Dinner on Saturday night,
including appetizers and dessert. We will also be providing light snacks and
water for the weekend, but if you are a hearty breakfast and lunch person, I
would recommend bringing your own food or purchasing at the resort.
YPNG cannot provide alcohol but you are more then welcome to bring your own cocktail
of choice. I would highly recommend coordinating with the people in
your carpool and share in your own party favors for the weekend.
Remember...sharing is caring.
LINENS AND THINGS
Here
are some important things to remember to bring....
1)
All beds come with linens. Make sure to pile your linens at the
foot of your bed at the conclusion of the weekend.
2)
Be sure to bring a towel of your own. Towels are limited and some
cabins do not even have them provided.
3)
If you want to be a part of the hot tub in Cabin #1, be sure to bring
your string bikini and speedo.
4)
Bring playing cards, extra inflatable mattresses, games, boom
boxes, and whatever other fun toys you think would benefit the group.
